If you haven't already, and you are a lover of art, I urge you to visit one of Cayman's best loved artists, Charles Long, who has his studio in Savannah, close to Pedro's Castle.

Charles' father's colonial posting (first Governor of the Cayman Islands 1968-1972) led his family to Cayman in 1968 when Charles was 20, and he has been painting scenes of our Island life ever since.

His reductionist style of painting has an amazing way of capturing all the essence of a Cayman scene with minimal content. He has the wonderful ability to take out all the noise and leave the colour, the shapes and feelings associated with what makes Cayman so unique.
